Vinsobres

Vinsobres is a small perched village (elevation 1706 feet – population approximately 1,100), located on the border of Drôme and Vaucluse, in Provence, with Mount Ventoux and other surrounding mountains on the doorstep. It is a Côtes du Rhône wine village with its own cafe, Epicerie & supermarche, Post Office, restaurant and a Boulengerie/small grocery creating morning-fresh croissants/baguettes, and flutes! It has twisting narrow streets, traditional laundry ‘lavoirs’ and two lovely churches.

The town is located in a beautiful part of Southern France, with a wide variety of things to do and see. Views take in rich lavender fields, grapevines, & the soft grey of the olive groves. Nyons is only 7 kilometres away at the foot of the alps, and there is a very lively market held every Thursday throughout the year, as well as many cafes and restaurants.
